2023 EB Day 0 - Back on the Mother Road

Our first team to finally hit the road this year is a mixture of Kiwis and Aussies.

Irene and Gael were first in from Australia yesterday followed by Ron and Jude from NZ today.

So with Mustangs under our belts we set off to the Petersen Museum and wow, hasn't that been changed up!

All new displays, the weird and wonderful.

Yes that is a Subaru... but it was Lightening McQueen who was a hit with the girls.

Even the exotic art display was, well exotic!

An unexpected (but probably should have expected) display across an entire floor dedicated to the EV.

The obligatory photo at the 'Start' sign on Santa Monica Pier was next...

...before our first meal as a group at Bubba Gumps. Maybe not be the cuisine delight of the century but hey, that's what experienceing R66 is all about.

We're staying local tonight and hitting the road for Chicago tomorrow morning.
