Back down in Williams is Bearizona where more development is making this place even more special.

ree

Being morning, the animal life was much more animated.

ree

Bears…

ree
ree

raccoons…

ree

arctic foxes…

ree

Although the jaguar and black panther were less engaged!

ree

There’s not much going on in Ash Fork but being the home of flag stone it sure makes up for it.

ree

Closer to Seligman we saw the little red signs made famous by Angel Delgadillo to attract customers to his barber shop.

ree

No shaves these days but Angel’s story of starting the historic r66 movement is infectious.

ree

Of course getting a drink at the Sno Cap next door is a must. Angel’s nephew John Michael keeps his father Juan’s tradition alive, of serving food with a smile and a twist! Straw?… sure!

ree

You’d like a shake? Sure!

ree

Mustard?

ree

Small Coke? Yeah we have them too!

ree

Dropping down through the rocky hills from Seligman…

ree

…eventually leads to Hackberry.

ree

Plenty of old cars rusting away…

ree

and a last chance to buy something Route66…

ree

As if there hadn’t been enough places or space to fit it in the cars!

ree

On to Kingman through the newly opened old Main street with its freshly presented buildings…

ree

And Bad gAss Garage where Trebe was working on a Convertible Pontiac GTO.

ree

It’s a car builder’s dream workshop and Trebe loves stopping to talk cars and stuff.

ree

We stayed at the Hualapai Mountain Resort 15 degrees cooler up the hill, which at least dropped it to 83.

ree

The company was good, two and four legs…

ree

and ended another cracking day on the road.
