2019 WB Days 17 & 18 - Sin City!

What does it say about this westbound group that they needed two days and three nights in Las Vegas?!

Nothing, just some hadn't been here before and it was also time for everyone to relax. And that was done in a myriad of ways.

We visited Shelby American, including a private tour of their assembly facility, which for car buffs is pretty hard to beat.

We met the company President and the VP Operations, who also happens to be the test driver.

Both these guys are very down to earth, hands on, joking about cleaning rest rooms and sweeping the floors.

The family environment here amongst all the staff is quite something.

Shifts start at 4am and are finished by 2pm to avoid heat, Friday is a day used for overtime, if required and weekends is for family time. Our guide Austin had plenty of stories from Shelby days... way too funny... and our one hour tour went to nearly three!

Shopping always gets slipped into the deal in Vegas and there's been a bit of that too... at both Outlet centres but some inside the Venetian and Caesars got a hammering too!

One group also slipped off to see 'O' - no disappointment there but being in the front row really does make it an interactive experience when you're talking a show using water! Others caught 'Menopause' the musical and that was a laugh and a half.... well maybe not for Dave!!

We dined up the Eiffell Tower, a meal rated as good as any this trip... and just walking the strip, day or night is an experience in itself.

Back on the road to Route 66 in the morning... can't wait.
