The entertainment started early when Paul's namesake Bob Mullen accosted him at Shelley's Diner at breakfast for having his name spelt wrong.

Before we discovered Bob's place on the outskirts we checked out the murals....

... and Mennonite (not to be confused with Armish!) Bakery in Cuba.

At Bob's Gasoline Alley there are more old pumps and other wonderful road 'junk' than you can imagine. Over the last two decades Bob & Darlene have been collecting and assembling it in their yard which sits between the interstate and the old road.

It was certainly a new experience for us all and shows just how much there is to still discover on Route 66.

Close by at Fanning is the Rocking Chair and the Outpost General Store.

Stone Henge was next, followed by the Frog on the Hill, Devil's Elbow and then Uranus!

Lunch at Sonic Burger in Lebanon was another new experience.

The delivery for some...

but also in the rain that had decided to pelt down right when we wanted to eat!

En route to our night destination was Marshfield and we checked out the salute to one of the world's most well known astronomers, Edwin Hubble. The Hubble Telescope was named after him and the city where he was born has a quarter scale model.

We dropped off the mother road at Springfield and dashed down the i65 to Branson. Dinner was by the river's edge at Branson Landing. At 7pm we stood for the national anthem and the typically patriotic display of respect for USA's country and flag.

SIX was on the menu for entertainment.

The brothers posed for a photo at the end of the show while their Camaros were again straddled by our ponies outside, to end our fifth day on the road.
